Tracey Dyson
I come from a family who has a long line of being in the aviation industry, and travel has always figured as an important part of my family lives in business and leisure. My wanderlust adventures were nurtured by my parents, and I was very fortunate to start exploring the globe at a very early age. It just seemed to make sense that my love of travel would lead to my choice of career and being in the industry continued to fuel my passion for travel.
Getting people excited about travel and our properties excites me, working on the details and creating the dream trip. We are always exploring beyond the beach, building on guests’ experiences in the destinations we work within and giving back to local communities.
Outside of Essential Detail, I am committed to my family who have the travel gene and love to join us on family holidays be it the Caribbean or Cornwall. Appreciating the simple things in life and supporting those around me keeps me positive, though I am known to love a challenge and will go above and beyond to find a solution!
Connect with me and you will gain support, encouragement, and a friend, all inspired by my family.

Travel is a passion and nurtured from an early age with many family holidays abroad and in the UK. However, I never actually thought I would follow in my Mum and my Nan’s footsteps and make it my career. The opportunity came up to join the family business, I knew working and learning from my Mum would be fun but challenging. Being creative and organised my skills have been invaluable in making changes to the business, with new creative changes to the branding, the company’s online presence and implementing new systems. It has been a real achievement, especially building the company website from scratch… and a few tips from Google.
Outside of Essential Detail is the start of my next chapter, my partner and I recently purchased our first home and I am using my creative flare to create and make it our cosy home. I also enjoy walking my dogs, exploring the Surrey countryside as well as quirky places in London and finding hidden gems with my partner, family, and friends.

Australians are great travellers and born and bred in Perth, Western Australia one of the most remote cities in the world my curiosity for travel was sparked at an early age exploring Australia on family holidays. Fun holidays driving around the outback the East Coast driving of Australia, trips to the Far East, South Pacific and New Zealand had me craving to see more of the world. Moving to Darwin in the Northern Territory was the unexpected start of my career in the travel industry and opened up a world of opportunity when I was offered a position with the then Northern Territory Tourist Commission in the UK in the late 80s.
Always curious with a passion for adventure and new cultures my one year in London for the Northern Territory Tourist Commission has taken me on a journey and a career that spans Australia to the Caribbean over the past 30-plus years. Moving on to work with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and Cayman Airways in the 90’s a stink back with the NTTC and then working with Anguilla in Tourism in the Caribbean have given me a fascinating career.
I am a firm believer that you have to love what you do, think outside the box and don’t follow the crowd and I am still passionate about the wonderful destinations and companies I have worked with then and now.
Nothing more fun than planning my next adventure and I firmly believe you must always have a plan, something to look forward to and keep exploring, travel is the greatest gift.
